About Us
Charter Schools are revolutionizing public education in the united states. More and more families every day are given a choice where their children can go to school without regard to the cost of that education. The quality of public education in this country is on the rise thanks in large part, to the efforts of charter schools and competition among public schools. However, charter schools not only have smaller budgets than their traditional public school counterparts, but also lack the buying power enjoyed by large school districts. But, if viewed as a group of 5,000 schools, charter schools have the volume purchasing power that should command significant discounts from companies who sell goods and services to the education market.
CSPA is dedicated to helping Charter Schools get the best possible value on the goods and services they need most to serve their students. We are doing this by partnering with companies that make a strong commitment to the charter school movement by establishing a significant discount for our member schools in-line with (or better than) what large, public school districts would receive.
In return for offering "Bid pricing without a bid", we ensure our business partners that our growing number of member schools will be strongly encouraged to contact their company first when considering the purchase of goods or services and that they will be given every opportunity to prove that they are a true partner for charter schools and offer pricing that the potential purchasing power of our member schools deserve. Business partner updates are sent to member schools monthly including the CSPA pricing contact information, promotional discount codes (if applicable).
We are confident that a true "Win-Win" partnership is being created between our member schools and business partners. Our member schools will receive the best possible pricing for goods and services and our business partners will see an increase in their volume of business with charter schools which will offset their lower profit margin resulting from offering deep discounts. However, it is essential that prices quoted by business partners be kept CONFIDENTIAL. Of course, comparing prices to other sources is acceptable and encouraged but disclosing quoted prices to non-partner companies is prohibited and undermines what we are trying to achieve. By the same token, if it is determined that a business partner is not offering preferred pricing to our members, it should be reported as well and the partnership will be reevaluated. Of course, we are always looking for new business partners and any suggestions by member schools should be sent to: suggestions@CharterSchoolAlliance.org
